Burnage has a long history of involvement with performance poetry slams. When I first tried to arrange projects like this as a teacher at Shena Simon College in 1998, Burnage were involved and won once. I remember their team blended as a group effortlessly and yet each individual was very strong.  Last year's team featured the incredibly talented and winner of the best poem Wasim Merzogoui.
